Ethiopian food

Ethiopian food is a refined and diverse 'cuisine'.

Ethiopian food is served on an Injera (pancake) with different meats and fresh vegetables. Ethiopian food consists of spicy vegetables and chicken, beef or lamb dishes or fish, usually in the form of a "wot", a thick stew. In Ethiopia you sit together around a big scale, tear a piece off your Injera and use this to scoop meat, fish or vegetables. Very cosy. Of course Taytu also has utensils for those who want it.

An Injera is made of teff flour. Teff is an Ethiopian grain that contains important minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium etc. Teff is gluten free. And delicious. We also serve rice or couscous.

The restaurant can serve guests on the ground floor and first floor. There is also a terrace.

Opening hours

Ethiopian Restaurant Taytu is open Tuesdays - Sundays from 5pm.
